Brad Hendricks - Arkansas Personal Injury & Medical Malpractice Attorney

Brad Hendricks has a family tradition of dedication to the law. His father, Lowber Hendricks, was also an attorney in Little Rock, and a former circuit judge in Pulaski County.  Brad’s beautiful daughter, Savannah Hendricks, is in college with plans to continue the Hendricks tradition of service to others through the practice of law.

Brad worked for many years as a trial attorney almost exclusively handling medical malpractice cases. His practice focused on representing children with cerebral palsy or other birth injuries caused by obstetric or pediatric malpractice.  In recent years, Brad’s focus has shifted to managing the law firm, one of the twenty largest law firms in Arkansas.  He strives to stay abreast of important developments in all of the firm’s cases. Brad is devoted to legal ethics, and works tirelessly to earn the trust and respect of all the firm’s clients. His success has been linked to the personal connection he feels toward his clients because of a car wreck that changed his life.

When he was only a teenager, he was a passenger in a car that was hit by a drunk driver.  The driver of his vehicle, a friend, did not survive.  He was so critically injured that, at the time, he was mistakenly told by doctors that we would never walk normally again.  He overcame those obstacles, and through hard work and determination, he proved those doctors wrong.  Brad understands the worry, the pain, the stress, the financial burden, and the obstacles that come with any car crash, and he understands that doctors can make mistakes with devastating consequences. Having been through these experiences, and being motivated by them, Brad strives to be the best, to hire the best, to work with the best, and to build the best law firm in the state.

Brad is a member of The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Trial Lawyers, an exclusive organization, for the fourth year in row. The National Trial Lawyers is a professional organization of America’s top trial lawyers. Membership in the organization is by invitation only and is extended to those individuals who exemplify superior qualifications, trial results, and leadership. Little Rock’s Best Personal Injury Attorney 2021 – 3rd year to be named. The National Trial Lawyers has evaluated Mr. Hendricks’ qualifications and extended an exclusive invitation to him based on his performance as an exceptional trial lawyer in the practice area of Civil Plaintiff law. Brad has also been twice voted as one of the “Best Personal Injury Lawyers” by Soirée Magazine for 2012 and 2013.

In 2012, he was recognized three times by Newsweek Magazine as one of the 15 Leading Plaintiff Attorneys in the United States in Auto Accident law, one of the 20 Leading Plaintiff Attorneys in the United States in Medical Malpractice, and one of the 25 Leading Plaintiff Attorneys in Personal Injury in the United States.  Mr. Hendricks was also voted Best Attorney in Central Arkansas (twice) by the readers of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. He was voted as one of the Best Personal Injury Attorneys in Arkansas by other attorneys in a poll conducted by the Arkansas Times, and was also voted by other attorneys as one of the Best Medical Malpractice Attorneys (for Plaintiffs) in two separate polls taken by the Arkansas Times. Mr. Hendricks has also been named a “Top Rated Personal Injury Attorney in Little Rock, AR” by Super Lawyers.

In 2011, the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association awarded Brad the Henry Woods Lifetime Achievement Award.  This award is intended to be a very special award that is not necessarily presented each year. It is intended to recognize a lawyer in practice for more than 25 years who has devoted his or her career to helping injured victims, consumers, and who has championed the causes of those who lack money, education or the ability to protect their own rights.  He has been awarded the President’s Award two times in 2018 and 2014.  Also, in 2004, he was awarded the Roxanne Wilson Advocacy Award.  It is given to members whose love of the law, the legal profession, and advancement of advocacy is reflective of those same qualities of the late Roxanne Wilson, for whom the award is named. Brad has been selected as Chairman of the Arkansas Bar Association Professional Ethics Committee for the 14th consecutive year.

His work demonstrates compassion and commitment to advocacy on behalf of the injured consumer as well as exemplifying the skills, ethics and integrity embodied in the mission of ATLA. In 2019, he was awarded the Golden Gavel Award by the Arkansas Bar Association for the fourth time.  This award is given by the President of the Arkansas Bar Association for outstanding work by committee chairs. His devotion to the highest ethical standards has elevated him into his position as the Chairman of the Arkansas Bar Association’s Professional Ethics Committee for 12 consecutive years. In 2005, he was awarded the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association Roxanne Wilson Advocacy Award, which is given to those ATLA members who have a strong love of the profession; a demonstration of dedication to family, the community and ATLA; is an activist in the advancement and improvement of the legal system and the legal profession; and in the defense of those who cannot find justice for themselves.

When Brad was handling obstetric malpractice cases in Arkansas and Texas, his most rewarding case was the case of a young child who was damaged at birth due to the negligence of a physician and the hospital staff.  This child could not walk or talk.  His parents testified that their goal for their child was for him to one day be able to walk up to Brad and thank him for fighting for him.  Medical Negligence cases, and especially birth injury cases, are among the hardest types of cases for an attorney to tackle.  Brad welcomes the challenges and is not afraid to hold doctors, hospitals, and their staff accountable for negligence. He is willing to fight for the smallest, weakest of our society to ensure that doctors are always vigilant about keeping our children safe.  He imbues his dedication into every division of the law firm.
