3 Vehicle Accident Involving Tractor Trailer Leaves 2 Dead in Jefferson County

A Toyota Rav4 SUV pulled out of a Loves Truck Stop entering the path of a southbound semi-truck, which caused the big rig to strike the SUV. The Big Truck then veered into the northbound lanes of traffic striking a Dodge Ram truck with two occupants inside. The driver of the Dodge Ram, Clarence Wells, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger of the pick-up was taken to an area hospital was pronounced deceased later.


The accident occured at 4800 U.S. Highway 65 in Jefferson County. Conditions at the time of the accident are reported as clear and dry.



Arkansas State Police are still investigating the accident.
